2011How Long Do Yankee Candles Last?
Get the most out of your Yankee Candle… but how long do Yankee Candles last?
These are for the jars, because that’s what I’m interested in, and besides, they’re the most popular:
- Small: 25-40 hours
- Medium: 65-90 hours
- Large: 110-150 hours
- Large Double Wick: 70-90 hours
Other things I found out:
- Within the last couple of years, Yankee Candle switched from hand-pouring their candles to machine pressing them. This seems to be resulting in less potent scents when burning.
- When asked if someone should buy a Yankee Candle, almost a hundred replied responde “yes”. Aka, they’re recommended.
- The best way to make the candles last the longest is to trim the wick before lighting and putting the candle out by putting the cover on, instead of blowing them out.
- Candle warmers produce a much stronger scent than burning the candles, but using them once means you need to use it for the life of the candle. Some people use the scraps from old Yankee Candles in warmers.
- Soy candles burn cooler, cleaner, and longer
- Many people recommend putting candles in their freezer between uses, making the scent last longer
