Can My Cat Have Strawberries

I cut up a bunch of strawberries to have with my waffles, and my cat went a little nutso and starting licking the juice off of my fingers. I was a tad bit worried that they might not be a good thing for her to eat, but according to  a question posed on Yahoo Answers, they won’t hurt her a bit.

Interestingly enough, there are a few reports of cats reacting to strawberries as though they were catnip. There is even a video on youtube. I didn’t really observe this behavior in her, but she also didn’t end up eating the strawberry I gave her. She’s such a punk.
